Venus dreams of warmth, of touch,
Of little joys that mean so much,
Yet Ketu whispers, “Let it go,”
And teaches wants to fade and slow.
You give your time, you give your care,
You notice needs before they’re there,
You make the room a softer place’,
Then hide your own desires without a trace’.
You choose their comfort, calm their fears,
You stay beside them through the years,
And when they ask what you would choose,
You smile and say, “It doesn’t matter to me. You choose.”
Perhaps you truly need so little,
Perhaps your heart has learned to settle’,
Perhaps you give because you can’,
Without expecting an equal hand.
But sometimes giving has a hidden cost,
A quiet sense of something lost,
For when you ask for nothing back,
Others may never see what you lack.
Ketu can make detachment feel wise,
While Venus still has unspoken cries,
You may call surrender peace of mind,
Yet wonder what you left behind.
There is beauty in a generous heart,
In giving without keeping score from the start,
But even the selfless need a place
Where their own wishes can breathe with grace.
[Haiku]
You give without asking,
But does your quiet heart still bloom?
Who cares for the giver?
