Jupiter speaks of wisdom,
Of duty, truth and grace;
Saturn walks with measured steps’,
And never leaves its place.
You become the steady one
When everyone retreats,
You gather up the scattered fears,
And carry others’ needs.
A parent calls, a sibling waits,
A family needs your hand;
You quietly accept the weight
You never really planned.
You say, “Someone must do this,”
And so you take the role;
Another burden finds its way
Into your waiting soul.
You give your time, you give your strength,
You give your peace away;
And tell yourself that duty means
There is no time to say.
Years pass beneath the weight,
Yet nobody sees you bend;
For those who always carry things
Rarely ask when burdens end.
You may resent the careless ones
Who walk with lighter feet;
While you remain behind to solve
The problems they repeat.
But perhaps they never asked you
To carry what you bear;
Perhaps your generous hands reached out
Before they asked for care.
[Haiku]
Whose burden do you hold?
You carried what no one asked—
Silence became duty.
There is wisdom in giving,
And honor in standing near;
But even the strongest heart
Must learn what it should not bear.
Help those who truly need you,
But let others learn to stand;
A life devoted to everyone
Can slip away unmanned.
Jupiter teaches meaning,
Saturn teaches restraint;
Together they may show you
Where duty becomes a chain.
Not every weight is sacred,
Not every sacrifice is wise;
Sometimes putting something down
Is where your freedom lies.
For life is not a promise
To carry every soul;
Sometimes the greatest wisdom
Is knowing what to let go.
