Ketu in the 7th = Detachment leads to effortless disappearance.

Ketu in the 7th house does not behave like a loyal relationship manager. It does not chase bonds. It does not negotiate emotional continuity. It simply shows up, participates a little, and quietly forgets to cling. Attachment here has an expiry date that no one is informed about.

The 7th house is supposed to handle partnership, commitment, and the whole “two people building something together” arrangement. Ketu enters and treats the arrangement like it came pre-cancelled. It allows connection, but not obsession. It allows presence, but not permanence. Everything feels slightly optional, even when it is not.

So relationships under this influence often end without ceremony. No dramatic speeches. No emotional courtroom scenes. Just silence doing its job. Messages slow down. Interest evaporates. The connection does not collapse. It simply stops updating itself, like outdated software no one bothered to uninstall properly.

From the outside, this gets labelled as ghosting. From the inside, it is usually called “nothing happened, it just stopped.” Very efficient. Very unromantic. Very Ketu. No explanation required because, in its own logic, nothing is owed once the internal sense of completion arrives.

Garuda Purana would not waste poetry here. It would call it straight: unfinished attachment meeting sudden detachment. One person still performing emotional rituals for a relationship that has already been mentally cremated on the other side.

The uncomfortable part is this: Ketu does not always differentiate between “fully complete” and “I lost interest quietly.” Both feel the same from inside. There is no emotional press conference to clarify which one it was. The exit happens without filing a report.

Naturally, this creates confusion for the other person. What looked like mutual connection suddenly behaves like it never signed a long-term contract. The mind starts replaying scenes, searching for hidden betrayal or cosmic meaning. Ketu does not bother responding. It already moved out of the building.

This placement also has a talent for emotional minimalism. It does not invest in dependency. It does not enjoy relational heaviness. The moment something starts feeling like obligation, it quietly checks the exit door. No anger. No drama. Just administrative detachment.

But here is the twist Garuda Puranam would not sugarcoat: not every exit is enlightened. Sometimes it is clarity. Sometimes it is just early checkout from emotional responsibility. Both look identical from the outside. Only time pretends to explain the difference later.

Ghosting under Ketu in the 7th is not always cruelty. It is often absence of continued participation. One side still believes the relationship is running. The other side has already logged out and moved on to something internally “resolved,” whatever that means.

The real lesson is not sentimental. It is structural. Relationships here are not built for guaranteed continuity. They are built for experience and exit. Whether that feels like wisdom or negligence depends on who was left staring at the empty chat screen.

And in typical Garuda Purana fashion, the conclusion is blunt: attachment is temporary, but confusion is persistent. Especially when one person has already left the story, and the other is still reading the same page like the book is alive.
